Hurricane Helene has devastated Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Southwestern Virginia, as well as of course Florida. Horses and their humans are struggling, to put it mildly. Specific needs at this time for many in the affected areas are water, hay, grain, veterinary/farrier care, fencing, shelter, and evacuation and temporary boarding for horses. If you can offer assistance, please comment with how you can help and how best to be contacted. This blog post will be on various social media channels, so please expect a high volume of contact. We're also working on a special page for our website including non-profits who may be able to assist as well. But, non-profits are already overwhelmed so we, the equestrian community, need to help each other individually rather than wait for help. Thank you all for any help you can offer to those in need.
